KalonGens is committed to providing a website that is easy to use and accessible to everyone, regardless of their technology or ability. In order to increase the accessibility and usability of all KalonGens sites, we adhere to a number of standards and guidelines.
In accordance with the W3C’s Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0, this website strives to conform to level double-A.
To allow screen reader users to access the main areas of the page, we have implemented skippable areas on each page and component.
Heading and Navigation Menus
Navigation menus are marked up as HTML lists. This ensures that the number of links in the list is read out at the start and that it can be skipped.
This site uses descriptive alt tags for all images.
In order to ensure that information is still clear when viewed in different color combinations, we have ensured the font and background colors contrast significantly. It is possible to change your browser settings to change the colors of the site if you wish.
You can change the font size on our site by changing your browser settings.
Forms and Fields
Java In addition to following a logical tab sequence, most form fields have ‘label’ and ‘id’ attributes, which explicitly associate the field with its label, allowing for easier data entry. We have also implemented the mandatory field mark (*) on the forms.
A link that opens a new window is described in its alt tag. Furthermore, links in text parts are underlined to make it clear when there is a link there.
To make our site accessible for users, we have kept animated images to a minimum.
